Welcoming 2013 with Open Arms

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season!

Did you put any of the holiday tips into practice? If so how did they work? I’d love to hear from you. I know I enjoyed the break from the regular work routine, and time with family and friends. I also clearly enjoyed a break from blogging, as I’m just now writing a new post. However your holidays were spent, I hope you enjoyed a happy and healthy time.

As we move into 2013, I keep returning to the word “Simplify” as a theme for this next year. As a self-employed achiever type personality, I find myself easily overcommitting and often wishing that my life, my schedule, my finances, and my thoughts and feelings were not so scattered and hectic. Maybe this is inherent in our busy American culture. However, this year I am putting a concerted effort into living in a way that some might describe as “counterculture.”

What are your themes for 2013?
